Subscribe to Receive Updates on Health Insurance Marketplaces Through HealthCare.gov

on Fri, 08/02/2013 - 4:17pm

On October 1, the Health Insurance Marketplaces will open in each state and the District of Columbia, and consumers will have the ability to research, compare and enroll in health insurance plans to meet their needs.  As part of the application process, consumers will be provided with information about eligibility for premium insurance tax credits to help pay for premiums.  By subscribing for email or text updates, it will be easy to stay informed about the Marketplace in your state.

Visit www.healthcare.gov/subscribe to sign up. Spanish consumers can subscribe at https://www.cuidadodesalud.gov/es/subscribe/.

If you have questions about how you will benefit from the Marketplace, the newly redesigned www.healthcare.gov website and customer service line can help. Call 1-800-318-2596 to speak to a Healthcare.gov representative.

In addition, Patient Advocate Foundation and InsureUStoday have released a free patient guide to answer the most frequently asked questions on insurance marketplaces. Get your copy today at www.insureustoday.org/marketplaces.
